~~ My Little Foster ~~

This is Isabella my lastest foster pup. I recently lost two of my dogs and part of me felt I needed someone to take my mind off of them and part of me felt it was too soon. Little Bella has not made me forget my boys but she actually reminds me of them both with some of her antics....so its been a bittersweet time.

Bella is 10-11 weeks (8/17/09) and is listed as a golden retriver/pit bull mix. She has longer hair then your typical pittie but her face is pitty enough looking for me. Some days I think Golden mix, some days I say no way. We will never know so lets just watch her grow and we will see.

Bella is not available for adoption yet as we are treating a nasty case of sarcoptic and demodex mange. Yuck! I will keep you posted on her progress.

The baby is just ADORABLE!!!! That is great that you are able to help others even with what happened. I am learning to accept my limitations and live with one dog. I know someday I will be ok again, but I am not there yet.

I didn't know I was ready yet either. I just couldn't see putting her down for mange.... it was actually my boyfriend who kept insisting. I did it half hearted at first and its definately bittersweet. She already reminds me sometimes of the boys. I have some videos to post soon. :) She is rotten!

I know exactly what you are going through with mange. I fostered a pit puppy who had the same issues as your foster now, we called her piglet due to the fact that she had no hair left and was pink. She got better and started acting like a puppy in no time!; ▶ Reply to This
