Hi everyone,
My name is Amy and I volunteer at the Humane Society of Harford County. I love working with the pits that end up there and getting them new homes. My picture is of a slightly urgent case, her name is Sparkle and she has been at the HSHC for a year and a half!!! She is a great dog and we have no idea why she is still up for adoption. Her foster dad said in Sparkles words of course I just passed my Canine Good Citizen exam. Wow, what a lot of work! There are 10 stages to the exam like leash walking, meeting strangers, commands, etc. I'm so proud! I used to be nervous when meeting new people, but my foster home has helped me become more confident. I can still be nervous but feel much better when there’s a game I can play w/ new friends. I love to play ball! I haven’t had exposure to children, so a family w/o young children would be best. I love chasing the ball and bringing it back for treats. I like to play with other dogs, especially my foster parents' yellow lab. We chase each other around sharing toys and then curl up together on our dog bed. I like to snuggle a lot. I am very obedient and listen very well. I have perfect manners around the house, don't chew on things, have any accidents and I don't beg. I have a TON of love stored up inside me and would LOVE to share it w/ just the right folks.
